Overview: This project is a 160,000-sf addition with 4 patient floors, an emergency department renovation and expansion, a PACU relocation, and an MRI installation at the Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY. The project is being designed and constructed in 3 phases. Phase 1 of the project is in construction. Phase 1 replaces three aging 500 KW generators with three 1.25 MW generators. Phase 2 will include renovations to the existing emergency department and building entrances to accommodate phasing. Phase 3 will be a six story addition that will have 4 inpatient floors, new main entrance to the hospital on the second floor, and a new ambulance entrance to the emergency department and expanded emergency department on the first floor.
September 2020: The new generator enclosure construction and duct bank to the hospital is underway. Generators are scheduled for installation later this fall
SHENENDEHOWA SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
Overview: This project is renovation of Shenendehowa’s existing Science and Technology rooms. The project started in June 2020 and is scheduled for completion in January 2021. The project is a complete gut and reconstruction of the existing science rooms, wood Shop, metal shop, automotive shop and associated technology classrooms. The renovated rooms will have new millwork, equipment and fixtures. All rooms will have energy efficient dimmable LED lighting, state of the art technology equipment and multimedia capabilities.
September 2020: The science rooms are partially complete and were opened for class. Mill work will be installed throughout the fall. Technology rooms have been demolished and reconstruction has started
MOUNT VAN HOEVENBERG OLYMPIC BOBSLED LUGE & BIATHLON
Engineered Solution was responsible for the Site Fiber Distribution Design for the entire Mountain and all Buildings on the site for Network, TV Camera Connections and Communication. There are 23 Pedestal locations on the Biathlon Trails for connection into the system for TV Camera Connection, Network, Communications and Timing and Scoring. Interconnection on the mountain to the Bobsled Facility was also incorporated to connect that area to the TV Distribution Building and Network Connectivity. There are 3 main distribution points on the site with the Main Network Core being the New Lodge. The 23 pedestals have Single Mode fiber which all is terminated in the Snowmaking pump house Data Room. From snowmaking data room there this a Main fiber connection to the TV lot #2 Distribution building where the TV trucks connect to receive camera feeds located on the Biathlon trails or Bobsled track for distribution. All Buildings on the site have a new single mode Fiber connection for Network Connectivity to the Main Data closet (Network Core) in the New Lodge.
